Evans does not blame Martin for Ypres time penalty in SS8

Elfyn Evans will not point the finger at Scott Martin for their time penalty in Stage 8 of Ypres Rally Belgium and stands by him saying that rallying is teamwork.

The crew received a 10-second time penalty in Stage 8 as they checked one-minute late at the arrival control of the stage resulting in starting late.

Before their receiving the time penalty, they were just seven tenths of a second from the leaders Thierry Neuville/Martijn Wydaeghe and one tenth of a second behind Ott Tanak/Martin Jarveoja.

"I am not here to point the finger", Evans said when he was asked to clarify the time penalty in the Ypres post-event press conference.

"If you want to do that, Scott could say to me that ‘you lost my world championship when you went off the road at Monza’.

"So at the end of the day, we win together, we finish second together.

"That is it.

"There is nothing more to discuss".
