Hyundai set to bring new upgrades to i20N on October

The deputy team principal of Hyundai Motorsport, Julien Moncet, says that the team will introduce some major upgrades to i20N Rally1 from upcoming October, according to homologation regulations.

The first time that the Korean team brought some upgrades to i20N was in Portugal which were related to the suspension, but it is unknown yet what changes have been done to the car for Rally Finland as the drivers will have some new parts for this event.

Thierry Neuville, Ott Tanak and Oliver Solberg have complained a lot about the reliability and performance issues of i20N this season which made Hyundai to work even harder to develop it for the rest of 2022.

"You have to apply for the homologation before the end of August, and then you have to do the homologation and then you have to use it or introduce from October 1", Moncet said.

"We are already there.

"I think we will, push to move along the cars this year and continue working on the development.

"If you look at the championship it is a bit tricky so I think we have to focus on developing the car".
