Rovanpera takes the same penalty as Neuville and Tanak in New Zealand

The stewards of Rally New Zealand gave to Kalle Rovanpera a time penalty for breaking the sporting regulations in Stage 1 of the rally.

According to the stewards' decision, Rovanpera's car released more hybrid boost during Stage 1 and the extra power of the hybrid unit was just 0.16 kJ more than the permitted limit which is at 240 kJ, therefore he has taken a five-second time penalty for this breach.

The Finn driver remains fourth overall after this penalty, but he loses more ground from the rally leader Elfyn Evans as their gap is now at 12 from 7 seconds.
