Fourmaux to miss Rally Japan as M-Sport faces budget issues

The M-Sport boss, Malcolm Wilson, says that Adrien Fourmaux will not compete at season finale in Japan as his team faces budget issues, but will probable have a programme with them in 2023.

The Frenchman returned to the steering wheel of Ford Puma Rally1 at Rally Spain after missing two events (Acropolis Rally, Rally New Zealand) due to the fact that he has many crashes so far this season. Despite the fact that the British team confirmed his entry for Rally Japan, he will not take part in this rally eventually due to bidget-related problems which means that this will be his third absence from a rally this year.

"It’s purely a budget thing", Wilson said.

"There’s nothing else to say, really.

"It’s the end of the season and the budget is, as ever, tight.

“Adrien will be part of our setup next season".
