Why will Bulacia be absent from Rally Mexico?

Marco Bulacia explains the reason why he will not contest at Rally Mexico this month, but he reveals that he will take part at Rally Chile in September.

The Bolivian driver secured a WRC2 programme with Toksport for this year and has been named to get behind the wheel in one of four Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 cars of the German team. His campaign started with Rallye Monte Carlo where he finished seventh overall in WRC2 class while his second rally of the season was Rally Sweden. In this snow event, he finished at the lowest place of the podium in WRC2 Challenge category taking his first podium for 2023. So far, it is unknown in which WRC round he will take part in, but it is hinted that he will skip two events and will participate at Rally Portugal in May.

"I really like Mexico", Bulacia said.

"The place is great and the roads are very nice, but I’m going to go to Chile for my WRC2 round outside of Europe.

"Chile is next to my home country in Bolivia.

"I was hoping Mexico and Chile would be next to each other on the calendar, so I could do both.

"Maybe next year - this would be something very good for me and, for sure, I would do both".
