Rally Chile - Shakedown: Evans pips down Rovanpera for 0.5s, Loubet 3rd

At the end of the Shakedown session, Elfyn Evans was the fastest driver at this early test before the official start of Rally Chile with Kalle Rovanpera and Pierre-Louis Loubet following him.

Elfyn Evans set the fastest time on the first two passes from Shakedown stage and improved further his time on his second run while he was the only WRC driver who set a time under the four minutes.

Kalle Rovanpera follows his teammate for five tenths of a second while his third pass was very slow throughout the stage.

Pierre-Louis Loubet completes the top three on his first visit in Chile and is the top driver for M-Sport Ford.

Two tenths of a second separated Teemu Suninen from Loubet as the Finn secured his third outing of the season with the Hyundai i20N Rally1.

Takamoto Katsuta is in fifth place overall and left Thierry Neuville behind for only one tenth of a second.

Ott Tanak set only the seventh-fastest time in the Shakedown session, but it must be mentioned that he is the latest winner of Rally Chile.

Esapekka Lappi, Gregoire Munster and Alberto Heller complete the top ten.

The last two drivers will make their WRC debut in Rally Chile this weekend and they were the only drivers who completed the most passes from SD.
