Kalle Rovanpera comes right behind the Latvian driver for 0,6 seconds and left behind Thierry Neuville for three tenths of a second.
Sebastien Ogier is in fourth place and managed to keep Ott Tanak behind for only one tenth of a second.
The championship leader Elfyn Evans sits in sixth position overall with a time of 3:53.4.
Josh McErlean, Takamoto Katsuta, Adrien Fourmaux, Sami Pajari and Gregoire Munster complete the top 11.
