FIA will examine the reasons behind the retirements of three Rally1 cars from Acropolis Rally which was held last week.
P1 was the official fuel supplier in World Rally Championship, but it went into administration, thus Total Energies stepped in from Rally Sweden last February. At Acropolis Rally, three Rally1 cars carried a similar fuel supply issue which is strange if you consider that. The first car was Sami Pajari's who was forced to retire on the road section after Stage 5. His mechanics were not able to fix his car for Saturday, therefore the young Finn restarted on Sunday. The second victim was Martins Sesks who reported this problem in Stage 6 and also retired for the rest of the day, but restarted on Saturday. The big loser of this problem was Gregoire Munster who was sixth overall at the end of Saturday. M-Sport Ford mechanics detected a fuel supply issue on his Puma during the Saturday night service, so the team decided to withdraw Munster's car from the final day of Acropolis Rally. The current situation is under investigation by FIA and we do not know yet when FIA will make a conclusion of this problem.
