Three manufacturers are in discussions with FIA for the 2027 WRC season



FIA is in talks with two tuners and one manufacturer as they are interested in joining World Rally Championship from 2027.

FIA clarified the new WRC regulations recently. The spaceframe will be common, but it is up to the cars brands which type of car will compete with. It is understood that Toyota remains committed to World Rally Championship and is working on the new car whereas M-Sport Ford still examines the new regulations. On the other hand, Hyundai Motorsport wants more flexibility on the drivetrains. According to Motorsport.com, FIA is talking with two tuners and one manufacturer for the 2027 WRC season and in fact one of them is reels in joining World Rally Championship. Finally, a meeting between the stakeholders will take place at Rally de Alba this week.
