Oliver Solberg says that he wants to drive a Rally1 car next season after what he achieved in 2025.
The Swede driver scored five wins during his seven-rally programme with PrintSport and Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 while he won Rally Estonia with the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 a couple of months ago. Apart from these achievements, he clinched his first title in WRC2 class a day ago showing that he is ready to make his return back to the top class in 2026. It must be mentioned that Toyota, Hyundai and M-Sport Ford have not confirmed its drivers for 2026 yet, thus there are 11 Rally1 seats available for him to secure one for next season.
"I can promise you there is no contract signed that is for sure, I wish", Solberg said.
"This championship [WRC2] is what we always knew we could do and that is a final relief but the WRC win that was something we hadn’t dreamed of quite yet and to do that, this was a crazy emotion.
"I really hope we can try and get something together and get a good plan for next year and hopefully have a full season of WRC.
"I think we have done everything we can and now we just have to do everything we can to try and get into a top team".
