Ott Tanak says that his target is to finish the season strongly and will remain committed until the end of 2025.
The Estonian driver is still among the WRC contenders for this year's title despite the fact that he is now 43 points the new championship leader Sebastien Ogier. He scored only one point at Rally Chile as he retired twice due to an engine issue on Friday and on Saturday, thus he received time penalties for restarting under the SuperRally regulations. The one point came from his fifth place at SuperSunday while it must be mentioned that he won three stages before his retirements in Chile. Last but not least, Tanak was leading Rally Chile at the end of Stage 4, but his good performance came to an end in Stage 6 when he was forced to retire.
"It has been a long and frustrating weekend here in Chile", Tanak said.
"Friday was hard, but it was going quite well for us until our rally went off track.
"Since then, it’s been a difficult couple of days.
"The last few rallies have been challenging for us, but we are determined to finish the season strongly.
"As always, we will go into the final three rallies with full commitment; hopefully, we can finish with some strong results".
