At the end of Sunday, Sebastien Ogier claims his sixth win of the season with Elfyn Evans and Sami Pajari completing the top three.
Sebastien Ogier is the winner of this year's Rally Japan and stayed out in trouble today where the conditions were wet. He set the fastest time in SS16 and SS19 while he set identical pace with Takamoto Katsuta in SS17. The Frenchman topped the SuperSunday standings and took the five extra points while he beat Evans for 0,1 seconds in Powerstage.
Elfyn Evans keeps his second place overall and lost some seconds in Stage 17 as he went off the road.
Sami Pajari does the 1-2-3 for Toyota Gazoo Racing and this is his first podium in World Rally Championship while he hit a curb on the exit of a corner in Stage 7.
Ott Tanak started his day in a positive way as he was the fastest driver on the opening stage of Sunday and climbed to third overall after Adrien Fourmaux's mistake, but he dropped to fourth position overall after a front right puncture in SS16.
Gregoire Munster completes the top five and left Kalle Rovanpera behind for 12,8 seconds.
Takamoto Katsuta restarted under the SuperRally regulations today and is outside the top ten, but he managed to win Stage 17 and 18. However, he stalled in Stage 19 and had a spin in Powerstage due to the rainy conditions while he suffered from a front right puncture on the final stage of Rally Japan.
Thierry Neuville was forced to retire before the start of Stage 15 due to electrical issues.
Adrien Fourmaux was third overall and was the top Hyundai driver until Stage 15 where he went wide and off the road resulting in damaging heavily the right side of his i20N. He retired on the road section before the start of Stage 16.
