Rallye Monte Carlo - Shakedown: Katsuta tops the Toyota's 1-2-3-4-5 as Neuville crashes out


At the end of the Shakedown session, Takamoto Katsuta goes fastest with Sebastien Ogier and Oliver Solberg completing the top three.

Takamoto Katsuta was the fastest driver since the beginning of the Shakedown session in Monte Carlo and left the nine-time WRC Champion, Sebastien Ogier, behind for 1,3 seconds.

Oliver Solbeg is third overall and managed to keep Elfyn Evans behind for six tenths of a second.

Sami Pajari does the 1-2-3-4-5 for Toyota Gazoo Racing and was for 0,1 seconds slower than Evans.

Josh McErlean is the top driver for M-Sport Ford, as he sits in sixth position, while his compatriot, Jon Armstrong, was for five tenths slower.

Gregoire Munster, Adrien Fourmaux and Hayden Paddon complete the top ten.

Paddon had an impact on his first pass from the Shakedown stage as he lost the braking point and went straight into a bridge carrying a minor damage to his Hyundai i20N Rally1.

Thierry Neuville started in a negative way his 2026 WRC season as he went off the road and clipped a bank with the front right resulting in damaging the suspension.
