The Route of Rally Japan 2026

The organizers of Rally Japan announced the route of their event which will be held on May 28-31.

The rally kicks off on Thursday with the customary shakedown at Kuragaike Park on the outskirts of Toyota City, giving crews their first taste of competitive action before the ceremonial start later that evening.

Friday’s first full leg features the all-new Asuke stage, threading its way through the tight and technical roads of Toyota City. It is followed by the ever-challenging Isegami’s Tunnel test — a fan favourite known for its concrete-lined sections and constant rhythm changes — before crews tackle the looping Inabu/Shitara stage across Toyota City and neighbouring Shitara Town.

On Saturday, the route expands further afield. The day begins in Obara before heading into Gifu Prefecture for the Ena and Mt. Kasagi stages, the latter running across Ena and Nakatsugawa cities. A major highlight comes later with the debut of the Fujioka Super Special Stage, a spectator-friendly showcase that brings the rally back into Toyota City for an action-packed showdown in front of full grandstands.

The decisive Sunday leg opens with Nukata in Okazaki City, followed by a return to Kuragaike Park — this time run in reverse, offering a fresh challenge on familiar roads. The rally reaches its climax at Lake Mikawako, host of the Wolf Power Stage, where the final points will be decided.
