Rally Islas Canarias - 2nd Day - 2nd Loop: Ogier stays out in front of Solberg, Pajari slips behind Evans



At the end of Friday afternoon, Sebastien Ogier keeps the lead of Rally Islas Canarias with Oliver Solberg and Elfyn Evans following him.

Sebastien Ogier managed to extend his rally lead at Islas Canarias by setting the fastest time in Stage 6 and 7 which means that he is in front of the second Oliver Solberg for 8,6 seconds.

The Swede driver overtook Sami Pajari and Elfyn Evans in Stage 5 by being the fastest driver there. This means that he gained two places after SS5 and moves up from fourth to second.

Elfyn Evans reported understeer at the end of Stage 5 and was in fourth position overall at the end of SS6, but he stole the third place from Sami Pajari at the end of Stage 7 and their gap is at 1,3 seconds in favor of Evans.

Takamoto Katsuta does the 1-2-3-4-5 for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT and was not able to match the pace of his teammates on Friday afternoon.

Dani Sordo stays sixth overall at the end of Stage 7 as well as the leading driver for Hyundai Motorsport.

Adrien Fourmaux follows the Spaniard for 3,9 seconds.

Thierry Neuville, Josh McErlean and Jon Armstrong complete the top ten.

Armstrong ran wide and clipped an armco in Stage 7 resulting in damaging the rim of his Puma.
