Rally Portugal - 3rd Day - 2nd Loop: Ogier's late charge puts him further ahead as drama hit Evans and Solberg

At the end of Saturday afternoon, Sebastien Ogier retakes the rally lead in Portugal with Thierry Neuville and Sami Pajari following him.

Sebastien Ogier is back at the lead of Rally Portugal as he managed to climb the order at the end of Stage 15 by setting the fastest time there. Moreover, he took some seconds back by being the fastest driver in Stage 17 and 18.

Thierry Neuville moved up from third to second overall at the end of Stage 16 despite his half spin there.

Sami Pajari gained one position at the end of SS16 and is now third overall again while his gap from the second Neuville was at 1,6 seconds after SS16.

Oliver Solberg dropped from first to fifth overall at the end of Stage 16 due to a front right puncture, but he took one position back in Stage 17 taking advantage over his teammate's mistake there.

Elfyn Evans slipped behind Solberg in fifth position at the end of Stage 17 as he had a brief stop 17,9Km into SS17 as he lost the front of his car and was washed out under braking in a long corner.

Adrien Fourmaux remains sixth overall and was the fastest driver in Stage 16 while he is 27,2 seconds behind Evans.

Takamoto Katsuta, Dani Sordo, Martins Sesks and Josh McErlean complete the top 10.

Sesks was the second-fastest driver in Stage 17 and was beaten by Ogier for 11,2 seconds.

McErlean dropped from ninth to tenth overall in Stage 17 as he had two moments. Initially, he had a spin and stall and afterwards he went off road 19,1Km into SS17, but he was able to continue thanks to the spectators.

Jon Armstrong's great effort on Friday ended up with a roll just 800 meters into Stage 15 after his clipping a bank.
