Rally Portugal - Shakedown: Neuville edges Pajari in Baltar, Ogier outside the top 10

At the end of the Shakedown session of Rally Portugal, Thierry Neuville tops the SD times with Sami Pajari and Adrien Fourmaux following him.

Thierry Neuville improved his pace and set the fastest time in Baltar on his third run from the Shakedown stage showing a promising performance with his Hyundai i20N Rally1.

Sami Pajari comes right behind him for three tenths of a second and was the top driver for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT.

Adrien Fourmaux does the 1-3 for Hyundai Motorsport and left Martins Sesks behind for only one tenth of a second.

The Latvian returned back to the wheel of the Ford Puma Rally1 since Rally Sweden last February being the leading driver for M-Sport Ford on this early test.

Elfyn Evans set an identical pace with Sesks, but the first one was slower for some thousandths of a second, so he holds the fifth place.

One tenth of a second separated the sixth Oliver Solberg from his teammate Evans.

Takamoto Katsuta completes the top seven and will start second on the road on Thursday and on Friday.

Dani Sordo set the eighth-fastest time with the Hyundai i20N Rally1 in Baltar on his gravel return since Acropolis Rally Greece back in 2024.

Jon Armstrong outpaced the tenth Josh McErlean. Both of them passed four times from the Shakedown stage.

Sebastien Ogier is at the bottom of the overall classification as he is eleventh overall.
