At the end of Thursday, Oliver Solberg leads Rally de Portugal after three stages with Adrien Fourmaux and Sebastien Ogier following him.
Oliver Solberg stole Adrien Fourmaux's first place at the end of Stage 2 as the Toyota driver set the fastest time in SS2. In fact, Solberg claimed two places at the end of SS2 and is set to start fourth on the road on Friday.
Fourmaux is just 3,4 seconds behind Solberg on the classification while he was leading Rally de Portugal after the opening stage of Thursday as he was the fastest driver there.
Sebastien Ogier does the 1-3 for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT and dropped many seconds in Stage 1 as he was struggling with the balance of his Yaris.
Thierry Neuville slipped behind Ogier for 0,2 seconds at the end of Stage 3 while the Belgian had a half spin in Stage 1. However, he managed to gain six positions in Stage 2 as he climbed from ninth to third overall.
Only one tenth of a second separate the fifth Elfyn Evans from Neuville despite the fact that the Welshman started first on the road today. Moreover, he was the quickest driver and set an identical pace with Ogier in Stage 3 while he was beaten by Fourmaux for only one tenth of a second in SS1.
Sami Pajari sits in sixth position overall and is 3,2 seconds behind his teammate Evans.
Dani Sordo showed a promising pace with his Hyundai i20N Rally1 on Thursday despite the fact that he completed his day at seventh position overall as he was the fourth-fastest driver in Stage 1.
Takamoto Katsuta, Josh McErlean and Jon Armstrong complete the top ten.
Martins Sesks is eleventh overall and is just 0,1 seconds behind the tenth Armstrong.
