Evans and Martin fined for not activating the OK button in time in Stage 13 of Acropolis Rally

The stewards of Acropolis Rally gave a fine to Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin as both of them forgot to press the "OK" button in Stage 13 of Acropolis Rally.

The Toyota pair were in fifth position overall at the end of Stage 12, but they dropped to seventh after the end of Stage 13 as they stopped to change a front right puncture. However, Evans and Martin did not press the "OK" button within one minute after their stop which means that they breached the FIA sporting regulations as they activated the "OK" button after one minute and 17 seconds. Although they had the chance to apologize for their act in front of the stewards and to explain the reason behind their infringment, Evans and Martin preferred not to appear at the stewards' office. Kaj Lindstrom explained the crew's position to the stewards via a phone call, but eventually Evans and Martin have to pay a 2000-euro fine jointly for pressing the "OK" button with a 77-second delay.
