Sébastien Ogier has confirmed he will contest all four remaining rounds of the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship as he intensifies his pursuit of a record-breaking 10th drivers' title.
The Toyota driver, who originally planned to compete in a partial campaign of 10 rounds, has decided to extend his programme after finding himself firmly in championship contention.
The decision comes just days after Ogier's dramatic Rally Finland exit, where a high-speed crash while leading the event brought an abrupt end to what had been another impressive performance. Although the accident cost him valuable championship points, the Frenchman escaped serious injury and is now fully focused on returning to action at Rally Paraguay later this month.
Ogier admitted that fighting for another title was not necessarily part of the original plan, but his strong results throughout the season have changed the situation. With only four rallies remaining, the nine-time world champion believes he still has a realistic opportunity to add another crown to his remarkable career.
Toyota is expected to benefit from Ogier's increased commitment as the manufacturer continues its battle for both championship titles. His experience and consistency have once again made him one of the leading contenders despite contesting fewer events than his full-time rivals earlier in the campaign.
"After a great run, Rally Finland obviously didn't end up like planned, and our championship hopes are more or less gone", Ogier said.
"Still, there are four remaining rounds this season and Vincent Landais and I will be there, with only one target: win them all".
