Sami Pajari announced today that he will take part in WRC2 class for the first time in his career and will join Toksport team at Rally Italia Sardegna.
The Finn driver cliched the title of JWRC class last year while he is currently competing in WRC3 class with M-Sport Ford.
However, he will drive a Skoda Fabia evo Rally2 in Sardinia next month which belongs to Toksport team after his upcoming appearance in Portugal in WRC3 class with the Ford Fiesta WRC3.
Moreover, it must be mentioned that Pajari had the choice to drive a Rally2 or a Rally3 car this year and preferred to drive a less powerful car which means that he chose to be behind the wheel of a Rally3 car.
Finally, it is tipped that he will take part in many events in WRC2 category this year while he must be present in five events in JWRC category to be able to compete in WRC2.
So far, he has competed in three rounds in WRC3 category and was the winner of Rallye Monte Carlo in his class while Estonia and Greece may be a part of his JWRC program.
"It’s a big rally in a powerful car, I’m really looking forward to my first Rally2 event at world championship level", Pajari said.
"I don’t set performance goals for the competition, but of course I’d love to see the pace and experience increase during the competition and hopefully have some good times".
