Solberg tested the new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 [+video]

Oliver Solberg had the chance to test the new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 as he is considering his options for 2023.

The Swede driver lost his place at Hyundai Motorsport as the team confirmed that he will not continue with them in 2023 and this announcement made at the end of Rally New Zealand. In fact, the team decided that Dani Sordo will drive the third i20N Rally1 for the last three remaining rounds of this year's championship.

Despite the fact that it was rumored that Ken Block and Petter Solberg would create a new WRC team ahead of next season renting two Puma Rally1 cars for Ott Tanak and young Oliver, the last one is examing his options for next year, therefore he got behind the wheel of the new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 in Monte Carlo on Monday as Toksport and Skoda Motorsport scheduled this test. Last but not least, it must be mentioned that there are two available seats at M-Sport Ford in 2023, but Pierre-Louis Loubet and Gus Greensmith are expected to sign a contract with the team.

"I drove the car for the day, it was very good", Solberg said.

"A nice car.

"I know the guys at Toksport and I know many of the people at Å koda, they are always very, very professional.

"For next season, we are still looking at options.

"Of course, we know the time is coming close for Monte Carlo entries to be submitted, but we are still working with sponsors and talking to people to find what is possible".
