Neuville skipped Sweden test due to illness

Thierry Neuville was forced to be absent from Hyundai's pre-event test for Rally Sweden as he was not feeling well.

Hyundai Motorsport scheduled a winter test for its drivers a week ago, but only Esapekka Lappi and Craig Breen got behind the wheel of the i20N Rally1 as Thierry Neuville felt sick. However, he still does not feel good as he said at the end of the first Shakedown run, but it seems that he is not concerned about his illness as he aims to continue at Rally Sweden. The Belgian set the sixth fastest time in Shakedown and improved his time on his third pass from it.

"I've been sick all week and I'm not feeling so good, but hopefully we'll be able to manage", Neuville said after his first pass from Shakedown.

"The snowbanks are really hard.

"It's quite fast in there and it's a tricky shakedown but we had a clean run through".
