According to DirtFish sources, Hankook is ready to schedule some tests with a tarmac tyre this week as a preparation for Croatia Rally.
FIA announced that Hankook will become the new WRC tyre supplier from 2025 as the brand won the tender and signed a contract with FIA until the end of 2027. Andreas Mikkelsen, Adrien Fourmaux and Elfyn Evans have been selected by Hyundai, M-Sport Ford and Toyota respectively to help Hankook on the development of their tyres. The first test was held before Rally Sweden where the drivers had the chance to try a snow tyre with studs whereas the next test will be scheduled this week with a tarmac tire as Croatia Rally is set to start in twelve days. Last but not least, the WRC teams are not permitted to change the car set-ups when their drivers are doing tests with the Hankook tires.
