Rally Islas Canarias - 2nd Day -2nd Loop: Rovanpera reels in his 1st win of 2025, Munster and Pajari crash

At the end of Saturday, Kalle Rovanpera is very close in winning Rally Islas Canarias with Sebastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans following him.

Kalle Rovanpera managed to build a comfortable lead by setting the fastest time in all Saturday afternoon stages which means that now Sebastien Ogier is behind his teammate for  seconds. However, the Finn reported some intercom issues at the end of Stage 10.

Elfyn Evans remains at the top three and his place is not under threat.

Takamoto Katsuta is now fourth overall and managed to keep Adrien Fourmaux behind.

Thierry Neuville and Ott Tanak do the 5-6-7 for Hyundai Motorsport while it must be mentioned that all i20Ns carried some new parts with the view of testing them before the next tarmac rally.

Josh McErlean is still outside the top ten, but is the top M-Sport Ford driver since Gregoire Munster went off the road into a ditch in SS11 resulting in completing the stage after three minutes.

Sami Pajari was forced to retire from the fourth place in Stage 12 when he crashed into the barriers with the right side of his Yaris.
