The stewards of Central European Rally gave to Josh McErlean a five-second time penalty for moving a part of the chicane on SS10.
Elfyn Evans was the first WRC driver who received a 5-second time penalty for moving a haybale from its defined position in Stage 1 of CER. Now, the stewards gave the same time penalty to Josh McErlean as the last one did the same in Stage 10 of Central European Rally. The Irish driver remains eighth overall as his gap from the ninth Oliver Solberg is over one minute, but many drivers criticized stewards' decision to penalize Evans for his action in SS1.
