Rally Chile - 1st Day - 2nd Loop: Tanak grabs Suninen's lead as Evans drops to 3rd

At the end of Friday afternoon, Ott Tanak takes back the lead of Rally Chile with Teemu Suninen and Elfyn Evans following him.

Ott Tanak is now leading Rally Chile after the end of Stage 6 as he was the fastest driver on the final two stages of the day resulting in climbing to first overall at the end of Stage 5.

Teemu Suninen stole Elfyn Evans's lead after the end of Stage 4 as the Hyundai driver set the benchmark in SS4, but he remains second overall at the end of the day.

Elfyn Evans lost two places in Stage 4 and is now behind Suninen for 8,5 seconds. The Welshman was struggling with the behavior of his Yaris on the second passes of the Friday stages.

Thierry Neuville moved ahead of Kalle Rovanpera at the end of Stage 6 despite the fact that he lost the hybrid before the start of the final Friday stage. He is now in fourth place overall and left the championship leader behind for 38,7 seconds.

Kalle Rovanpera completes the top five and dropped one position as he lost 17,6 seconds in Stage 6 after his having a half spin.

Takamoto Katsuta is still sixth overall and was very lucky in Stage 5 as he lost the control of his Yaris when he went wide, hit a bank and then was off the next corner.

Gregoire Munster, Sami Pajari, Oliver Solberg and Alberto Heller complete the top ten.

Esapekka Lappi and Pierre-Louis Loubet are forced to retire for the rest of the weekend as their cars are heavily damaged and their mechanics are not able to fix them.
